중국을 오가는 통신은 모두 중국정부에게 감청되고 있다고 봐야 할 듯.

그 많은 단말기와 트래픽을 어떻게? 하는 생각이 들지만, 이미 중국은 위구르와 티벳에서 그렇게 감시체계를 가동하고 있고, 상하이 등 수억 명이 사는 중국에서 가장 발전된 동부 해안지방에서도 그걸 사회 인프라에 통합한지 몇 년 지났으니까요. <마이너리티 리포트>의 현실판은 중국에서 제일 먼저 나온다는 혹은 나왔다는 보도도 있었죠.

이런 경향이, 단기적인 편의를 위해 큰 논의없이 정부가 밀어부치고 모두가 수동적으로 따라가는 일이 되어서는 안된다는 생각이 듭니다. 코로나19에 대한 대응도 그런 면이 없지 않은데, 임시방편은 임시방편인 이유가 있습니다. 반드시 일을 두 번 하게 되는데, 그 두 번째가 귀찮아서 첫번째로 한 임시방편을 그대로 가져가면 언젠가는 사회시스템이 큰 댓가를 치르게 됩니다. 펑크난 타이어대신 전용 스페어타이어를 달있는데 그걸 계속 쓰며 잊어버리다가는 나중에 좋은 일 못보는 것처럼요.
